Founded by our CEO, Eddie Ray,Progressive Sports was born from over 25 years of expertise and passion to inspire and encourage children to become more active, more often. Eddie, a seasoned entrepreneur with nearly two decades of running successful businesses in the education, sports and childcare sector, recognised the opportunity to turn his passion into a successful and profitable business.
Progressive Sports began serving schools and communities across Staffordshire in 2006. Due to increasing demand, we launched our first franchised location in 2009. Since then, we’ve partnered with motivated, professional business owners and sports coaches to expand across the UK.
With Eddie’s deep industry knowledge, having founded, scaled, acquired and sold multiple businesses, you’re in very capable hands.

Founded by our Managing Director, Eddie Ray, Progressive Sports was born out of a passion to encourage more children to become more active, more often. As a well established entrepreneur, Eddie knew there was an opportunity to turn his passion into a successful, profitable business too.
Progressive Sports started servicing schools and communities across Staffordshire in 2006. Due to significant demand for our services, we made the exciting decision to open our first franchised location in 2009. The rest as they say, is history! Kevin’s found himself in between positions after leaving Crystal Palace FC as a director. His passion for sport and improving the lives of children through physical activity led him to Progressive Sports and Kevin is the companies longest standing Franchisee.
Liam Loynd & Mauro Beca
Previously worked as Sport Coaches Franchisee since 2012
Both Liam and Mauro met while working for their local council delivering PE & sport into schools and the local community. It wasn’t long before they wanted to take control things and run their own business and after nearly 10 years as a Franchisee that dream is more than a reality.
ADAM HOLLAND
Previously worked as a Sports Coach Franchisee since 2015
Adam started his journey as a Sports Coach in Stoke-on-Trent, working for Port Vale FC and then joining the Head Office team at Progressive Sports, where he climbed the ranks during a 7 year period before then taking the step to becoming our Franchisee for Derbyshire and Nottingham.
Kris England & Pete Randall
Previously in the Corporate World
Franchisee since 2013
Both Kris & Pete’s change of career was sparked by their involvement in coaching their children’s football team, which led them to do their FA coaching qualifications and helped them to decide that the corporate rat race wasn’t for them anymore. Which then led them to pursue becoming their own boss doing something they loved!
